Home / Practice Areas / Wrongful Death

A “wrongful death” is caused by the negligent, willful, or wrongful act or omission of another. It can occur in many settings. These include medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, motor vehicle and pedestrian accidents, train, bus, boat and airplane accidents, dangerous medications and machinery, defective products, construction site accidents, inadequate premises security, boating accidents, playground/amusement park accidents, dangerous children’s furniture, strollers, and car seats, and many other scenarios.

If a client loses a loved one, and our investigation reveals that the negligence of one or more parties was to blame, we will do all that we can to maximize compensation for those loved ones who are legally entitled to receive it under Massachusetts law (Mass. Gen. Laws, c. 229, s. 2). While monetary compensation can never fill the void left behind by such a tragic loss, knowing that those responsible have been held to account may bring some degree of solace.

Should you believe that a loved one’s death resulted from someone else’s negligence or lack of due care, call us as soon as you are ready to discuss the facts and circumstances. We have handled numerous wrongful death claims including those arising from construction accidents, medical malpractice, and motor vehicle accidents. We treat our clients with the utmost respect and dignity in these tragic cases, while at the same time time going after the negligent party or parties with everything we’ve got.
